The Bivi Silence beyond the pitch black sky, nothing to be seen except for the glow sticks hanging on the trees. “Squalk” echoes through the forest as raindrops fall on the tarpaulin and make a racket that just won’t allow me to sleep, finally, the rain stops. Morepork, Morepork, you’ve gotta’ be kidding me! The rain stops so the morepork lands on the tree right next to my bivi, What a Night!
It feels like we’ve been out here for an hour, when the whistle blows, It’s 6am! What? It can’t be, that’s not right, Arghhh! Time to go and pack up. Really, What a Night!

I dipped my foot into the clear crisp water, my heart froze.
The black rubber rubbed against my poor hopeless leg.
PADDLE JOSH PADDLE that’s all I could hear.
My arms felt as wobbly as a piece of jelly.
Come on you guys lets go all the way I shout out.
